Longobardi, an international artist, is a recipient of the coveted Hudgens prize and is recognized globally for her work on the\u00a0<em>Drifters Project<\/em>, through which she collects ocean and seashore plastic for use in artistic sculptures and installations. A renowned artist in her own right, Montlack\u2019s work explores similar environmental themes, and her art has been displayed across the country and alongside the iconic Burning Man festival.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside\u00a0<em>Preternatural<\/em>\u00a0is an installation sculpture by Atlanta artist Noah Reyes entitled\u00a0<em>Under Construction<\/em>. Her ongoing Drifters Project, featured in\u00a0National Geographic\u00a0magazine, provides her opportunities to follow the world\u2019s ocean currents and to collect, document, and transform oceanic plastic into installations, public art, and photography.<\/p>\n<p>Longobardi\u2019s work is exhibited throughout the US and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Longobardi serves on the faculty at\u00a0Georgia State University. She is a Regents\u2019 Professor and Distinguished Professor of Art. She is represented in Atlanta by\u00a0Sandler Hudson Gallery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dana Montlack<br \/>\n<\/strong>Biospheric artist and researcher Dana Montlack uses a unique layering process to combine art and science \u2014 utilizing drawings, maps, photos, and data to create art that speaks to environmental topics and phenomena. Her art is exhibited internationally in galleries, museums, and universities.<\/p>\n<p>Montlack\u2019s visual art practice provides her with opportunities to work side by side with researchers. In 2022, she received a grant from\u00a0the University of Georgia\u00a0to explore and visually document the ways in which Georgia\u2019s coastlines have been impacted by climate change \u2014 a project funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Montlack also serves as a professor of Visual Arts and Contemporary Art History at\u00a0Georgia State University.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Noah Reyes<br \/>\n<\/strong>Atlanta-based artist Noah Reyes exhibits at various spaces across the American southeast \u2013 the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia,\u00a0Zeitgeist Gallery, and Westobou. They have spoken at\u00a0Georgia State University,\u00a0the University of Georgia, and\u00a0Atlanta Contemporary\u00a0for their work as an artist and curator.<\/p>\n<p>According to Noah\u2019s bio, \u201c[t]heir work plays with words and symbols to craft a slippage of meaning about where they come from and where they are. Touching upon a history we are a part of, but cannot fully define, Noah aims to bridge connections between people and cultures to shape a more empathetic and nurturing future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to their art, Noah works and sometimes writes for\u00a0Art Papers,\u00a0Burnaway, and\u00a0IMPACT Magazine.
