ABOUT OUR CLASSES

The Spruill Center for the Arts offers daytime, evening, weekday, and weekend art courses for adults, teens, and children at all skill levels. Whether you’re looking to try something new or develop existing artistic talents, we’ll guide you through the creative process – and have some fun along the way!

Classes operate on a quarterly schedule: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Most classes meet for eight to ten weeks during the quarter, and we also offer a variety of shorter workshops that meet for 1-2 sessions to provide an introduction to a certain medium or an opportunity to work on a more advanced practice.

Some classes require materials to be purchased before the first class begins. Please refer to the individual course listings for more information about supply lists.

Spruill members receive class discounts and early registration access. Click here to learn more about Spruill membership.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY

The teachers are very knowledgeable and talented artists. I also enjoy meeting the different types of people in my classes.

Natasha B.

Super fun, I’ve gained confidence in my art. And I learned new skills that can help me grow through my art.

In Japan they have National Living Treasures. In Atlanta we have Chery Baird.

No matter whether you are a returning member or a new member of the class, it is not just a "class" it is a family!!! We genuinely enjoy and embrace each other, not only as we make jewelry, but as we go about our lives!

A rare, collaborative spirit permeates the Spruill Center. Fellow students comment on your project in the true spirit of learning and cooperation, never putting down any artistic efforts. I am not nearly as artistically advanced as my fellow students, but still feel like a beloved colleague.

I always love being at Spruill Center. Everyone is happy to be there, and the staff and students all enjoy each other. It is a big part of my life and my wellbeing.

"The Spruill Center is a warm, friendly and welcoming place where I can experience the joy of artistic expression."
