Visiting Artist Workshops at Spruill Center for the Arts bring artists from across the country to teach 1-2 day workshops at our facilities, allowing our students to learn from artists who are not regular Spruill instructors and providing opportunities to hear new artistic perspectives.
Through the Visiting Artist Workshop series, Spruill students have had the opportunity to hear from artists across the United States, including…
- George McCauley, a Montana-based & internationally recognized ceramicist whose work has appeared in 400 exhibitions and is included in international collections in 12 different countries
- Dustin Cecil, a Kentucky-based fiber arts and textiles artist who practices the art of traditional broom-making
- Hollie Chastian, a Tennessee-based mixed media artist whose collages have been exhibited across the country and are included in collections at home and abroad
